About St. Xavier’s College for Women:

Operating under the management of the C.T.C and affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, the college visions to uplift the educational, social, cultural, and vocational status of women by empowering them with academic excellence, personality development, and spiritual enlightenment. The college was established in 1964 and is re-accredited with A grade by NAAC.

About the Department of Mathematics:

The department of Mathematics was one among the five departments established at the beginning of the college and B.Sc. Mathematics Course began in the year 1968. The department has strength of three faculties, one project fellow and 140 students.

About the Conference:

Graph Theory is a major thrust area of current research with tremendous potential for application in various fields. Though Graph Theory is considered to be the part of Pure Mathematics, it is very close to Theoretical Computer Science and its importance has resumed greater dimension in recent years in view of its adaptability to various problems in diverse areas such as Sociology, Psychology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science and several other real life problems. Also Graph Theory is the best tool to study various networks such as SocialNetwork, Biological Network, Electrical Network, Small-world Network etc. We focus on the recent developments in Graph Theory and Networks.

A lot of research is going on in various institutions all over India and in several leading institutions outside India in the above mentioned fields. The purpose of this conference is to bring together experts and young researchers and provide a platform for discussion of recent advances in the relevant research areas and presentation of research papers by young scientists. We hope to have in-depth discussion on the front-line challenging problems on various topics.
