College Hostel 

         There is a women's hostel in the campus, near the bank of Periyar.There are 65 rooms in the hostel.The hostel has a capacity of accommodating 250students. At present there are 157 students in the hostel. 28 sports students are also accommodated in the hostel.The hostel provides all the intellectual, moral and spiritual growth of the students. The students have well furnished rooms to stay, with ample ventilations, electric lights and fans. Each one is having writing table a chair, a coat and a wall shelf. There is a separate study hall. On the corridors there will be light during the whole night so that the students can study at any time. They have a well furnished dining hall where food is served four times a day. Three girls and a lady do cooking for the girls. Four sisters work as wardens. They stay with the girls in the hostels. They are available throughout day and night. There is a telephone and a coin box, where the students can receive phone calls and make calls. They have a T.V and two News Papers. On the first floor there is a prayer hall. Every night 9'O clock all the students gather for a 15 minutes prayer.

Rules and Regulations  

v  Students shall leave the College Hostel and come back with their parents or guardian. 

v  Apart from the College hours, Hostel Students are expected to spend most of their time within the Hostel premises excepting the times allowed for the purpose according to the rules of the Hostel. Absence from the Hostel must be with the permission of the warden.  

v  Every student on joining the College or at the beginning of the year must fill in a residence card.  

v  The Hostel will be under the direct control of a Resident warden who will look after the welfare and the good conduct of the inmates. 

v  It rests with the warden to allot room or a part of a room to a student or resident or to change such allotment at any time during the year. 

v  The Hostel rules as well as the regulations which the Resident warden may issue from time to time apply to all the Hostel residents. The decision of the Warden with regard to the rules of the hostel shall be final.  

v  The Principal is the ex-officio General warden of the Hostel.  

v  If the residents wish to leave the Hostel to stay elsewhere, they can do so only after obtaining the written permission of the principal. But she will be liable to pay the rent for the whole term in which she leaves.
