XAVIER BOARD OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN INDIA
Features
The Xavier Board of Higher Education in India, established in 1951 was inspired by Bishop Severin, then the chairman of the Commissin for Education CBCI, together with pioneer stalwart educationalist, Fr. Jerome D' Souza S,J took up the challenge to create a national organization to federate the welfare of the Catholic Colleges in India.
The aims enshrined in the vision and mission of Xavier Board resolved to the growth and development of the Catholic Institutions of higher learning in India and in particular to co-ordinate, cooperate and assist in the advancement of knowledge in the light of gospels, collaboration among Catholic Colleges, promoting the quality of Catholic higher education and creating a more just and human world.
The objective of Xavier Board is nurturing a culture that enables our youth to grow into integrated human being committed to honesty, courage and dignity.
In this ever - changing ephemeral world, of today together we build the world. Xavier Board is meant to be a platform for the individuals in the centers of higher learning to share their version to create a more just world and enable the youth to think and act creatively. In our College, the Xavierian Board is giving opportunities for the teachers as well as the students to listen to listen to the talk of eminent educationalists, and even in different problems of the present world has been discussed.
Practice
All the regional meet of Xavier Board are attended by our teachers without fail. One teaching staff is working as the co-ordinator. The notification of Xavier Board has been circulated in the college among the teachers and the relevant ones among the students. We participate in all activities of Xavier Board. In 2003, the Regional Meet of kerala North Region was held in the College Auditorium. Every year the terenial Conference is being attended by Sr. Principal and the Manager. |
